Collection: Conservation Collection

Based in Thunder Bay, Ontario, on the traditional land of the Anishinaabe people, the Treaty Territory of the Fort William First Nation, signatories to the Robinson-Superior Treaty in 1850.

A Lesson in Values

This is our inaugural Conservation Collection—where we practice what we teach. 100% of proceeds (minus taxes and shipping) support local wildlife rehabilitation and ecosystem preservation, demonstrating how our everyday choices can create positive change in the world.

The Story Behind This Collection

I grew up walking the trails of Northwestern Ontario, learning the names of our flora, fauna, and fungi. Embracing all four seasons along the shores of Lake Superior, I've spent a lifetime quietly observing the wildlife that calls this region home. As both an educator and a naturalist, I believe the most important lesson we can offer our children is a deep and abiding respect for the natural world.

That's why I'm drawn to the vintage art of our region—it features the same wild neighbours I've cherished since childhood. In this collection, you'll find curated vintage treasures and Canadian artistry celebrating ducks, songbirds, foxes, and the natural beauty that surrounds us. Each piece is more than an object; it's a treasure of our shared natural heritage.

Your Purchase Makes a Direct Impact

When you bring a piece from the Conservation Collection into your home, you're doing more than decorating. You're investing in the future of our local environment and demonstrating the importance of protecting the world our children will inherit.

100% of proceeds from this collection are donated to:

  • Wildlife Preservation Canada – Dedicated to saving endangered species through conservation breeding, reintroduction, and habitat restoration
  • Ontario Turtle Conservation Centre – Providing rehabilitation for injured and sick turtles across Ontario, with a focus on species at risk

By holding these pieces in your hands, you are helping to fulfill my deepest commitment: to invest back into the nature that inspires us all, ensuring the beautiful subjects of this art will continue to thrive in the wild for generations to come.

Thank you for joining me in creating homes that are not just beautifully designed, but designed to teach what truly matters.
